Columbus, GA- Ms. Della W. Gray was born February 18, 1926 in Leslie, Georgia to the late Johnnie Benjamin and Rosa Lee Stewart-Walker. She departed this life Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Munford, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Nazareth Baptist Church, Columbus, GA. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery, Columbus, GA. Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2018.
Ms. Gray was educated in the Wayne County Training School in Jesup, Georgia. Ms. Della Gray was a well-known educator as she was employed with the Muscogee County School District for 35 years.
At an early age, Ms. Della Gray accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member at Nazareth Baptist Church, Columbus, GA.
Ms. Della Gray was joined in holy matrimony to the late Lewis Gray and to this union four children were born.
Ms. Gray was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life Lewis Gray, her sister Ella M. Walker-Jenkins, her brother James L. Walker, and her daughter Debra Ann Mullins.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, June Ellen White; two sons, Stanley Lewis Gray, and John Keith Gray; six grandchildren;15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
