What a great time was had this past weekend! Hats off to the fabulous committee chair, Mrs. Linda Hall Jones and her committee for their hard work to ensure a great weekend. Friday evening was a Meet and Greet at The Firehouse on Lynch Rd. in Columbus, GA. Mr. Howard Brown and Mrs. Euradell Hollis Fears were the Host and Hostess for the evening. There was music, fellowship, dancing, fun and games. There was even a king and Queen crowed for the evening!
During the Saturday night banquet, Mayor “Skip”Henderson brought greetings. There was a dance performance done by the Golden Ray Dance Group out of Decatur, GA where they attend the Ray of Hope Christian Church. Mrs. Patricia Thomas Scott was the Mistress of Ceremony and was excellent in her duties.
Mr. Erskine Alexander lead in the Invocation and Blessing. After the dinner, Mr. Carmel Biggers, Sr. presented Mr. Bernard Richardson a trophy for his contributions and support to George Washington Carver Alumni Association, Inc.
Mr. C. DeRamus gave some heartfelt remarks and Mr. George Johnson closed the event with some beautiful heart rendering remarks. This was a night which will be remembered for years to come.
